In addition to our retrofit equipment, we offer tested, specially developed upgrades for your machines on both the hardware and software side that can be implemented by our technicians. Control station and production planning retrofit

Upgrade your existing technology to a common, globally deployed server solution with components designed for continuous operation at low failure rates and high performance.

Production planning system

  • Industrial servers e.g. HP, Fujitsu, Lenovo

  • Virtualisation using VMware® or Linux KVM

Production planning terminal

The terminal runs on either Linux or Windows. It is also available as a fully-fledged workstation PC including MS Office.

Control station

Passive cooling and the use of flash cards or SSD technology as a storage medium ensure a low-maintenance and low-wear system with high availability and redundancy

Controllers and network retrofit

Upgrading the control modules to freely available standard components as part of a complete or partial retrofit ensures high availability and high production reliability.

Controller

A powerful CPU, ISO EN 61131-compliant programming and an Ethernet connection guarantee successful implementation of this retrofit solution.

A hardware upgrade, development and commissioning of the safety controls and subsequent inspection ensure the required safety of the system.

Network

Switching to the Ethernet standard guarantees high throughput rates and high reliability

Control station

Innovative operation via a modern touchscreen console. The full integration of ink density and register controls, a page-based display, ink pre-configuration via a CIP3 interface and alarm signals with a reporting system take machine operation to a new level.

Interbus loop retrofit

Upgrade of existing, discontinued Interbus loop technology hardware to current components from Phoenix Contact

Ink level sensors

  • Automatic measurement and control of the ink fountain fill level

Paper tear monitor with individual sensors

  • Uses an individually configurable, very reliable sensor type that is common in the industry
  • No parameterisation required (swap out via plug & play)

Angle transmitter

  • Replacing the loop angle transmitter with fully mechanically compatible transmitters with SSI bus interfaces

Replacement of the loop interface

  • For valve terminals through fully compatible valve attachments with direct I/O

Keyboards

  • Replacement of the LDI keyboard circuit boards with a fully compatible board attachment with direct I/O

Main and auxiliary drive retrofit

Upgrade of existing, discontinued main and auxiliary drive hardware to current technology to ensure long-term technical functionality of the units

Retrofit solutions for type 1–3 generation feeders

The connection-compatible design of the fully pre-installed, programmed and tested mounting plate facilitates easy hardware replacement and minimises system downtime.

Ink ductor drive retrofit solution

A connection-compatible mounting rack facilitates easy hardware replacement and minimises system downtime

Longitudinal shaft drive retrofit solutions

The replacement of discontinued Gisipakt or Mentor II drives with the current Emerson MentorMP drive technology guarantees high reliability.

Pneumatics retrofit

Upgrade of the existing pneumatic components to modern, state-of-the-art hardware to ensure high technical availability of the units and to optimise the energy requirements of the system

Tubing

Replacing the existing tubing with prefabricated chemical-resistant Teflon hoses. The connection-compatible design of the fully pre-installed and tested mounting plate facilitates easy hardware replacement and minimises system downtime

Replacement of all or defective pneumatic pistons in the printing units, folding superstructure and/or folding unit
